In this semester we take Academic Reading and Writing 1, with Mr. Gregory. In the beginning the study was difficult and intensive but it is very helpful. he give us many kinds of writing, summaries, essays, reports and learned us how to write it in our word.
He has given us a lot of topics to write about it and practice the perfect formula for a summary. Some of summaries that we have done were about Ramadan, Masdar and how the Bedouin can survive in the desert. Also he teaches us how to write the essays and show us the right formula for it then he gives each student in the class a topic to write about it. My topic was about twitter I wrote about it and collected the information from internet. After that he teaches us how to write the report and my topic was about Ritz Carlton Hotel also i collected the information from internet for the report. There are many benefits gained from this study, such as how to put a citation in any sentence that belong to who say it, plus the references in the last page of the report. Also Mr. Gregory teaches us how to create a profile in Blogger and put our projects and summaries into the web.
We are now at the end of this semester and I learned a lot of things like how to write the essay and report. This semester help me to improve my skills in reading and writing that will help me in the rest of the other subjects.
